- Within the city -
Inside or outside one of the various cabins
says to ALL: -Finding a cabin to rent had not been any great hardship, and for that I was thankful. I had 2 more of my ships arrive in the port, these ones bearing some of my personal goods, along with men that wanted to report their findings. They would not stay long, but while they were here, I took advantage of it. I had the ship's slaves at work most of the day bringing things to the cabin that I was renting, that I might make it more.. comofortable and to my tastes for the duration of my stay here. I still wasn't sure how long that was going to be, but I was honestly tempted to winter it out here. It wasn't like sailing was much fun in the winter months, and I was getting far too old for such things. Leave that to the younger sailors, to dodge the icey treachery of the winter Thassa. Now, the slaves were gone, and I had several crates in my rented cabin. I debated where to start with it all. -

says to ALL: The first thing I would do was open all the shutters and doors to the cabin. I had chosen one of the largest ones to rent, just because I could. I was not a man even remotely hurting for coin. I was high Caste, and a privateer besides. I'd let the cool night air in, and smiled as I looked out the larger double wide window on one side. I looked up to the moons of Gor, and then turned to the task at hand.
As far as the cabin went, it had a total of 3 rooms. One large open room in the front, a bedroom in the back right corner, and the kitchen in the back left. It was a nice enough cabin, but definitely needed a few touches to make it good for a long stay. One of the first things that happened was that I dragged a large tub made out of copper into the bedroom. I really did prefer to bathe in my own quarters, not keen on the idea of sharing my bathing pools in the communal sense most did. I think it was a thing that lingered from the nastiness of some Karian bath houses. At any rate. Tub! I pushed it into a corner, and peeked out the backdoor a moment to the small enclosed garden of sorts. It was mostly grass, a couple trees, and a path, but it was nice enough. I had chosen this one because of the proximity of its pump to the cabin. That way it wouldn't take a slave several ahns to fill my tub. Anyway.. tub. I set it up, and slid the pipe into place that would carry the water outside. I found a convenient knothole already in the wood that the pipe fit just fine, and ran it out through it, so that the tub wouldn't have to be drained out by hand as well. A nice touch surely.
That done, I headed back to the main room and looked around slowly, pondering what next.
TBC.. I was nodding off here. lol.
